Captains of the Damned

Sail into the Sea of the Damned in Sea of Thieves, witness the fates of legendary captains, and collect their memories in this watery quest.

Starting Location: Any Outpost, speak to the Castaway on the beach.

Objectives:

1. Journey to the Sea of the Damned: Enter the portal and sail through a new section of the Sea of the Damned, encountering ghostly versions of familiar locations.
2. Witness the Fates of Legendary Captains: Explore various ghostly islands, witnessing the tragic fates of legendary pirate captains and collecting their memories.
3. Confront the Cursed Captain: Piece together the story and confront the Cursed Captain, who is attempting to raise an army of the damned.
4. Defeat the Cursed Captain's Forces: Engage in a large-scale battle against waves of ghostly enemies and the Cursed Captain himself.
5. Retrieve the Cursed Captain's Skull: After defeating him, retrieve the Cursed Captain's Skull.
6. Return to the Sea of Thieves: Escape the Sea of the Damned and deliver the skull to the Castaway.

Strategy: This Tall Tale is rich in lore and features several large-scale combat encounters. Pay attention to the environmental storytelling and the memories of the captains. The final battle against the Cursed Captain and his forces can be overwhelming; utilize your ship's cannons, gunpowder barrels, and coordinate with your crew to manage the waves of enemies. Focus on the Cursed Captain when possible.
