The Battle for the Sea of Thieves — Walkthrough

Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found on islands, in shipwrecks, floating in barrels, within vaults, or taken by enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. All treasure items emit a visible glint or glow.

Carrying Treasure: Each treasure item must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot use equipment or resources while doing so. Dropping the item allows for full control. Harpoons can retrieve treasure from a distance. Smaller items can be stored in Container Chests, which hold up to 3 items and hide their glow.

Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.

Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary grants Emissary Grade Reputation when picking up relevant treasure. Additional Reputation is gained when these items are put on the ship. These increases are awarded only on the first claim of a treasure item.

Trading Companies: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company that buys them: Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, and Merchant Alliance. Each company has representatives at Outposts.

Gold Hoarder Treasure: Items sold to the Gold Hoarders include Treasure Chests and Artefacts.

Treasure Chests: These are locked chests sold to the Gold Hoarders. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, and Cursed Treasure Chests. They emit a White Glint.

Artefacts: Smaller items found on their own, in chests, or in fortress vaults. They emit a Golden Glint.
