Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found through Voyages, randomly on islands, in shipwrecks, within Fort vaults, or taken from enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. All treasure items emit a distinct glow or glint.

Carrying Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative at an Outpost. While carrying treasure, you cannot use equipment or resources. You can drop it to regain full control. Harpoons can also retrieve treasure from a distance. Smaller items can be stored in Container Chests (up to 3 items) to hide their glow.

Treasure Lifespan: Items left on land remain until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.

Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary and picking up relevant treasure grants Emissary Grade Reputation. This bonus is applied when the treasure is claimed and put on your ship.

Trading Companies: Each company (Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance) values specific treasures. Representatives at Outposts accept these items for Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value. They also offer Voyages to acquire treasure.

Types of Treasure: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company they belong to. Within the main companies, they can be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, Skeletal, or Ghostly variants.

Gold Hoarders Treasure: Includes Treasure Chests and Artefacts. Chests are locked and sold to Gold Hoarders for their contents. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, and Cursed Chests. Artefacts are smaller items found throughout the seas or in vaults.
