- 1Find Treasure: Treasure can be discovered through dedicated Voyages, found randomly on Islands, floating in barrels or shipwrecks, within Fort vaults, or taken from enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. Treasure items emit a distinct colored glint or glow, allowing players to identify them from afar.
- 2Transport Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative. While carrying treasure, a pirate cannot fight or use equipment. Dropping the treasure allows for full control. Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from a distance. Smaller treasure items can be stored in Container Chests, which can hold up to three items and hide their glow.
- 3Sell Treasure: Each Trading Company has Representatives at every Outpost who accept specific types of treasure. Selling treasure grants Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value.
- 4Emissary Bonus: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary increases the Reputation and Emissary Value gained from selling relevant treasure. The Emissary Grade increases as more relevant treasure is sold, further boosting rewards.
Tips
- Treasure dropped in water sinks after about 5 minutes, so prioritize retrieval. Trade Good Crates are an exception and float longer.
- Container Chests are useful for hiding treasure and transporting multiple small items efficiently.
- Pay attention to the glint and glow of treasure to identify its type and value from a distance.
- Prioritize selling treasure relevant to your current Trading Company Emissary to maximize gains.
