    Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found through dedicated Voyages, randomly on islands, beached, in Barrels of Plenty, Shipwrecks, or obtained from defeating enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken. Treasure emits a colored glint or glow to indicate its type from afar.

    Treasure Lifespan: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.

    Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary and collecting relevant treasure grants Emissary Grade Reputation. Additional reputation is gained when the treasure is placed on the ship. These bonuses are awarded only upon the first collection of a treasure item.

    Selling Treasure: Treasure must be delivered to the respective Trading Company Representative at an Outpost to receive Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value.

Types of Treasure:

  • Gold Hoarders Treasure: Includes Treasure Chests (Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, Cursed) and Artefacts (Regular, Ashen, Coral, Shipwrecked, etc.). These emit a White or Golden Glint.
  • Order of Souls Treasure: Primarily Voodoo Dolls and Bounty Contracts.
  • Merchant Alliance Treasure: Includes Trade Goods (Rum, Silk, Spices, Sugar, Gunpowder, Plants) and Exotic Animals (Chickens, Pigs, Snakes, Foxes).
