Sea of Thieves offers a wide array of cosmetic items to personalize your pirate and their equipment. While the game primarily focuses on treasure hunting and combat, there are ways to customize the appearance of your weapons, making them stand out on the high seas.

What are Weapon Cosmetics?

Weapon cosmetics, often referred to as weapon skins or weapon sets, are purely visual enhancements that change the appearance of your firearms (pistols, blunderbusses, and sniper rifles) and melee weapons (cutlasses and daggers). These do not affect the weapon's performance or stats in any way, ensuring a level playing field for all pirates.

How to Acquire Weapon Cosmetics:

• In-Game Shops: The most common way to obtain weapon cosmetics is through the various shops found on Outposts. These shops often sell themed weapon sets that can be purchased using Gold, the primary in-game currency. Keep an eye out for rotating stock and special collections.
• Plunder Pass: Seasonal Plunder Passes often include exclusive weapon cosmetic sets as part of their reward tracks. Progressing through the Plunder Pass by earning Doubloons and completing challenges can unlock these unique items.
• Time-Limited Events: Special in-game events, such as holiday celebrations or anniversary events, may offer unique weapon cosmetics as rewards for participation or completing specific objectives.
• The Pirate Emporium: While primarily focused on more extravagant items like ship sets and emotes, the Pirate Emporium may occasionally feature weapon cosmetic bundles for purchase using Ancient Coins.
• Commendations: Some advanced weapon cosmetics might be tied to completing difficult commendations or achieving specific milestones related to weapon usage or combat.

Equipping Weapon Cosmetics:

Once you have acquired a weapon cosmetic, you can equip it at any Shipwright or Clothing Chest on an Outpost. Simply interact with the relevant station, navigate to the weapon customization tab, and select the desired skin for your weapon. You can mix and match different cosmetic pieces from various sets to create a truly unique look for your pirate's arsenal.
