Walkthrough
- 1Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found scattered across islands, floating in shipwrecks, within barrels, or obtained from completing Voyages and defeating enemies. Some valuable treasures are locked behind Vaults in Forts or guarded by powerful foes like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken.
- 2Identifying Treasure: All treasure items emit a colored glint or glow, allowing players to identify their type from a distance.
- 3Carrying Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company Representative at an Outpost. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot fight or use equipment while doing so. The treasure must be dropped to regain full control. Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from afar. Smaller items can be stored in Container Chests, which can hold up to three items and hide their glow.
- 4Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water will sink after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.
- 5Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary grants Emissary Grade Reputation when picking up relevant treasure. Additional Reputation is gained when these items are placed on the ship, with increases awarded only upon the first claim of a treasure item.
- 6Trading Companies: Each Trading Company (Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance) values specific types of treasure. Representatives at every Outpost accept these items for Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value. They also offer Voyages to guide players to treasure.
- 7Types of Treasure: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company they are sold to. Within the main companies, treasures can be Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, or Skeletal and Ghostly variants.
- 8Gold Hoarders Treasure: This includes Treasure Chests and Artefacts. Treasure Chests are locked and sold to the Gold Hoarders. Types include Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, and Cursed Treasure Chests. Artefacts are smaller items found throughout the seas or within treasure chests and fortress vaults, emitting a golden glint.
