Finding Treasure: Treasure can be found through various means:

• Completing Voyages offered by Trading Companies.

Exploring Islands, Shipwrecks, and Forts.

Defeating enemies like Skeleton Ships, Megalodons, and the Kraken.

Randomly scattered across The Sea of Thieves.

Identifying Treasure: All Treasure Items emit a colored glint or glow, allowing players to identify their type from a distance.

Carrying Treasure: Treasure must be carried by hand to a Trading Company representative. A pirate can only carry one item at a time and cannot use equipment or resources while doing so. The treasure must be dropped to regain full control. Harpoons can be used to retrieve treasure from afar. Smaller items can be placed in Container Chests to hide their glow and carry up to three items.

Treasure Persistence: Treasure left on land remains until interacted with. Treasure dropped in water sinks after approximately 5 minutes, except for Trade Good Crates which float longer.

Emissary Value: Sailing as a Trading Company Emissary grants Emissary Grade Reputation when picking up relevant treasure. This bonus increases if the treasure is placed on the ship, with reputation increases only given upon the first claim of an item.

Trading Companies: Each Trading Company (Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance) values specific treasure types. Representatives at every Outpost accept these treasures for Gold, Doubloons, Reputation, and Emissary Value.

Types of Treasure: Treasure items are categorized by the Trading Company they belong to and can have variants like Regular, Ashen, Stronghold, Skeletal, and Ghostly.

Gold Hoarders Treasure: Includes Treasure Chests (Regular, Shipwrecked, Coral, Ashen, Valuable, Cursed) and Artefacts (Regular, Ashen, Coral, Shipwrecked). Treasure Chests emit a white glint, while Artefacts emit a golden glint.
