Discover and collect all Fragments in Warframe. Learn how to scan them, where to find them, and unlock hidden lore and audio transmissions to deepen your understanding of the Origin System.
Fragments are hidden collectibles scattered throughout the Origin System in Warframe. Scanning or interacting with these fragments unlocks artwork and audio transmissions that provide lore about the game's universe, characters, and factions. These can be found during missions and are visualized in different ways depending on their type.
Mechanics:
Most Fragments can be scanned using the Codex Scanner or Synthesis Scanner. This process unlocks artwork in the Codex's Universe tab, which can also be used as decorations on your Orbiter. Each unlocked image comes with accompanying lore. Additionally, a hidden point on each image, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission that narrates further lore. An audio clue in the form of white noise, which intensifies as the cursor nears the point, helps locate this interactive spot.
Other types of Fragments require direct interaction (default key 'X') to acquire.
Fragments:
These Fragments are categorized and ordered by their release date:
- Cephalon Fragments: Found in rooms during missions, visualized as hovering blue data blocks. They reveal lore about Factions, Characters, and Planets, and decrypting them unlocks Ordis' Past, narrated by Ordis. They can be found on most planets, moons, and locations, with 2-3 fragments per area, each requiring 3-7 scans. They do not appear in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
