Discover how to find and scan Fragments in Warframe. Unlock hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions to deepen your understanding of the Origin System.
Walkthrough
- 1Scanning Fragments: Most Fragments can be scanned using a Codex Scanner or Synthesis Scanner. This unlocks artwork in the Codex's Universe tab, which can also be used as Orbiter decorations.
- 2Audio Transmissions: Hovering over a hidden point on the unlocked artwork reveals a short audio transmission with additional lore. White noise serves as an audio clue, getting louder as you approach the point.
- 3Interaction Fragments: Some Fragments only require direct interaction (default key X) to acquire.
- 4Fragment Types: Fragments are categorized by their origin, such as Cephalon, Fish, Glass, Ghoul, Revenant, Solaris United, Partnership, The Tenets, Duviri, Albrecht, Isleweaver, Somachord, and Frame Fighter.
- 5Cephalon Fragments: These appear as hovering blue data blocks, usually hidden in mission rooms. Each planet, moon, or location has 2-3 fragments requiring 3-7 scans. They can appear on the mini-map with loot radar mods. They reveal lore about Factions, Characters, and Planets, and decrypting them reveals Ordis' Past. They do not spawn in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
- 6Fragment Lore & Audio: Each fragment provides lore about its location or subject and an accompanying Ordis transmission. For example, Earth fragments detail its toxic atmosphere, wildlife, and Grineer settlements, with Ordis transmissions reflecting on his nature as a Cephalon. Venus fragments describe Corpus industrial practices in its mountains, with Ordis questioning his own existence.
Tips
- Use loot radar mods to help locate Cephalon Fragments on your mini-map.
- Listen for the white noise clue to find the hidden interaction point for audio transmissions.
- Fragments can be found in most mission types, but avoid Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions if specifically hunting for Cephalon Fragments.
