Walkthrough
- 1Mechanics: Most Fragments can be scanned using the Codex or Synthesis Scanner. This unlocks artwork in the Codex's 'Universe' tab, which can also be used as Orbiter decorations. A hidden point on each image unlocks an audio transmission with additional lore. Some Fragments require direct interaction (default X) instead of scanning.
- 2Cephalon Fragments: These blue, hovering data blocks are found in missions across most planets and locations (excluding Kuva Fortress). They require 3-7 scans and reveal lore about Factions, Characters, and Planets, ultimately decrypting to reveal Ordis' Past. They appear on the minimap with loot radar mods and can be found once per mission, except in Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions.

- Use loot radar mods to easily spot Cephalon Fragments on your minimap.
- Listen for white noise that gets louder as you approach the hidden point on Fragment artwork to unlock audio transmissions.
