Discover how to find and collect all Fragments in Warframe, unlocking hidden lore, audio transmissions, and artwork for your Orbiter.
Fragments are hidden collectibles scattered throughout the Origin System in Warframe. Scanning or interacting with them unlocks written and audiovisual lore that expands upon the game's setting. These fragments can be found on most planets, moons, and locations, often hidden within mission areas.
Mechanics:
Most Fragments can be scanned using the Codex Scanner or Synthesis Scanner. This process unlocks artwork in the Codex's 'Universe' tab, which can also be used as decorations on your Orbiter. Each unlocked image comes with accompanying lore. Additionally, a hidden point on each image, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission that provides further lore. An audio clue, like white noise that intensifies as you get closer, helps locate this point.
Other types of Fragments require direct interaction (default key 'X') to acquire.
Types of Fragments:
- Cephalon Fragments: Data fragments visualized as hovering blue data blocks, usually found in mission rooms. They reveal lore about the Origin System, including factions, characters, and planets. Decrypting them unlocks 'Ordis' Past', narrated by Ordis. They require 3-7 scans and can be found once per mission, except in Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions.
