Learn how to find and scan Fragments in Warframe to unlock hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions that flesh out the game's universe and characters.

Fragments are hidden items found throughout the Origin System in Warframe. Collecting them unlocks written and audiovisual lore that expands upon the game's setting. Most Fragments can be scanned using a Codex or Synthesis Scanner, revealing artwork in the Codex's Universe tab. These images can also be used as decorations on your Orbiter and come with accompanying lore. A hidden point on each image, indicated by white noise that gets louder as you approach, unlocks a short audio transmission with additional lore. Other Fragment types require simple interaction.

Fragments are categorized by their release date and type, including Cephalon Fragments, Thousand-Year Fish Fragments, Glass Shard Fragments, Encrypted Journal Fragments, Nakak Memory Fragments, Fortuna Fragments, Partnership Fragments, The Tenets Fragments, Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments, Albrecht's Notes, Isleweaver Fragments, Somachord Fragments, and Frame Fighter Fragments. Prex Cards are also a type of collectible.

Cephalon Fragments, visualized as hovering blue data blocks, are typically found in rooms during missions. They appear on the mini-map as a blue quadruple diamond with loot radar mods. Scanning a fragment unlocks a portion of associated artwork. These fragments can be found once per mission in random locations, excluding Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions. They provide lore about the Origin System's factions, characters, and planets, and decrypting them reveals Ordis' Past, narrated by Ordis himself.
