Discover how to find and scan Fragments in Warframe to unlock hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions that expand the game's rich universe and character backstories.

Fragments are collectible items scattered throughout the Origin System in Warframe. Finding and scanning these fragments unlocks hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions that provide deeper insights into the game's setting, characters, and factions.

Mechanics:

Most Fragments can be scanned using a Codex Scanner or Synthesis Scanner. This process unlocks artwork in the Codex's Universe tab, which can also be used as decorations on the Orbiter. Each unlocked image comes with accompanying lore. Additionally, a hidden point on each image, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission that narrates further lore. An audio clue, like white noise that intensifies as you get closer, helps locate this point.

Other types of Fragments require simple interaction (default key 'X') to acquire.

Types of Fragments:

  • Cephalon Fragments: Found in missions, visualized as hovering blue data blocks. They reveal lore about the Origin System's factions, characters, and planets, and decrypting them reveals Ordis' Past.
  • Thousand-Year Fish Fragments
  • Glass Shard Fragments
  • Encrypted Journal Fragments
  • Nakak Memory Fragments
  • Fortuna Fragments
  • Partnership Fragments (Corpus Gas City)
  • The Tenets (Corpus Ship)
  • Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments
  • Albrecht's Notes
  • Isleweaver Fragments
  • Somachord Fragments
  • Frame Fighter Fragments
  • Prex Cards
