This guide provides an overview of Fragments in Warframe. Fragments are hidden collectibles scattered throughout the Origin System that unlock lore and artwork.

Mechanics:

Most Fragments can be scanned using the Codex or Synthesis Scanner, unlocking artwork in the Codex's Universe tab. These images can be used as Orbiter decorations and come with accompanying lore. A hidden point on each image, indicated by white noise, unlocks a short audio transmission with additional lore. Other Fragments require direct interaction (default X) to acquire.

Fragments:

Fragments are categorized by their release date and type. Some notable types include:

  • Cephalon Fragments: Data fragments found in missions, visualized as hovering blue data blocks. They reveal lore about the Origin System's factions, characters, and planets, and decrypting them reveals Ordis' Past, narrated by Ordis. They typically require 3-7 scans and can be found on most planets and moons, but not in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
  • Thousand-Year Fish Fragments
  • Glass Shard Fragments
  • Encrypted Journal Fragments
  • Nakak Memory Fragments
  • Fortuna Fragments
  • Partnership Fragments (Corpus Gas City)
  • The Tenets (Corpus Ship)
  • Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments
  • Albrecht's Notes
  • Isleweaver Fragments
  • Somachord Fragments
  • Frame Fighter Fragments

Additionally, there are Prex Cards, which are also collectible lore items.
