Discover how to find and scan Fragments in Warframe to unlock hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions that flesh out the Origin System's rich history and characters.

Fragments are hidden collectibles scattered throughout the Origin System in Warframe. Scanning or interacting with them unlocks artwork and audio transmissions that provide deeper insights into the game's lore, characters, and factions.

Mechanics:

• Most Fragments can be scanned using the Codex or Synthesis Scanner.
• Scanning unlocks artwork in the Codex's Universe tab, which can also be used as Orbiter decorations.
• Each unlocked image has an accompanying lore entry.
• A hidden point on the image, indicated by white noise that gets louder as you approach, unlocks a short audio transmission with additional lore.
• Some Fragments require direct interaction (default X key) instead of scanning.

Fragments:

• Cephalon Fragments: Found on most planets, moons, and locations (except Kuva Fortress). They appear as hovering blue data blocks, often hidden in rooms. They reveal lore about the Origin System, Factions, Characters, and Planets, and decrypt to reveal Ordis' Past, narrated by Ordis. They appear on the mini-map with loot radar mods and can be found once per mission, except in Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions. Each requires 3-7 scans.
