Walkthrough
- 1Locate Fragments: Fragments appear as glowing data blocks (Cephalon Fragments) or other distinct objects in various mission types across planets and locations. Some fragments require interaction, while others need to be scanned with a Codex or Synthesis Scanner.
- 2Scan/Interact: Use your scanner on fragments that require it. For interactive fragments, approach and press the interact button (default X).
- 3Unlock Lore: Successfully scanning or interacting with a fragment unlocks associated artwork in your Codex under the 'Universe' tab.
- 4Discover Audio Transmissions: Within the unlocked artwork, a hidden point emits white noise that intensifies as your cursor nears it. Hovering over this point unlocks an audio transmission containing additional lore.
- 5Collect All Fragments: Different fragment types exist, including Cephalon, Fish, Glass, Ghoul, Revenant, Solaris United, Partnership, The Tenets, Duviri, Albrecht, Isleweaver, Somachord, and Frame Fighter fragments. Each type contributes to specific lore entries.
- 6Cephalon Fragments: These are found in most planets, moons, and locations (excluding Kuva Fortress). They typically require 3-7 scans and reveal lore about the Origin System, factions, characters, and planets, often narrated by Ordis, detailing his past. They do not spawn in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
- 7Other Fragments: Specific fragments like Fortuna Fragments, Partnership Fragments (Corpus Gas City), The Tenets (Corpus Ship), Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments, Albrecht's Notes, Isleweaver Fragments, Somachord Fragments, and Frame Fighter Fragments are tied to specific areas or content updates and unlock unique lore related to their respective themes.
