Orb Vallis Cycle

Fragments are pieces of hidden lore found throughout the Origin System.

Scanning most Fragments with a Codex or Synthesis Scanner unlocks artwork in the Codex's Universe tab.

Each unlocked image has a hidden point that, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission with additional lore. An audio clue (white noise) indicates proximity to this point.

Some Fragments require direct interaction (default X) instead of scanning.

Fragments are categorized by their content, such as Cephalon, Fish, Glass, Ghoul, Revenant, Solaris United, Partnership, The Tenets, Duviri, Albrecht, Isleweaver, Somachord, and Frame Fighter.

Cephalon Fragments are data blocks found in missions, usually in hidden rooms. They reveal lore about the Origin System's Factions, Characters, and Planets, and decrypting them reveals Ordis' Past, narrated by Ordis.

Cephalon Fragments appear on the mini-map with loot radar mods as a blue quadruple diamond.

Cephalon Fragments can be found once per mission in random locations, except in Defense, Interception, and Archwing missions.

Each navigable planet, moon, or location (including Void and Deimos, but excluding Kuva Fortress) has 2-3 unlockable Cephalon Fragments, each requiring 3-7 scans.
