Discover how to find and scan Fragments in Warframe. Unlock hidden lore, artwork, and audio transmissions about the Origin System, factions, and characters.
Walkthrough
- 1Locate Fragments: Fragments appear as hovering blue data blocks or other visual cues in various mission types across planets, moons, and other locations. They may appear on your mini-map if you have loot radar mods equipped.
- 2Scan or Interact: Most Fragments require scanning with a Codex or Synthesis Scanner. Some types of Fragments only require interaction (default key 'X').
- 3Unlock Content: Successfully scanning or interacting with a Fragment unlocks artwork in the 'Universe' tab of your Codex. Hovering over a specific point on the unlocked artwork reveals an audio transmission with additional lore.
- 4Collect All Types: There are various types of Fragments, including Cephalon Fragments, Thousand-Year Fish Fragments, Glass Shard Fragments, Encrypted Journal Fragments, Nakak Memory Fragments, Fortuna Fragments, Partnership Fragments, The Tenets Fragments, Lost Islands of Duviri Fragments, Albrecht's Notes, Isleweaver Fragments, Somachord Fragments, and Frame Fighter Fragments. Each type contributes to a different aspect of the lore.
Tips
- Fragments can be found in most mission types, but are generally not present in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
- The audio clue for the hidden point on artwork is white noise that gets louder as you get closer to the point.
- The lore unlocked by Fragments often relates to specific factions, characters, planets, or events within the Warframe universe.
- Some Fragments, like Cephalon Fragments, reveal lore about Ordis' past.
