Scan Fragments: Most Fragments can be scanned using a Codex or Synthesis Scanner. This will unlock artwork in the Codex's 'Universe' tab, which can also be used as Orbiter decorations.

Find Hidden Points: Within the unlocked artwork, there's a hidden point that, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission with additional lore. Listen for white noise that gets louder as you approach the point.

Interact with Fragments: Some Fragments do not require scanning and can be acquired by simply interacting with them (default key 'X').

Cephalon Fragments: These appear as hovering blue data blocks, often hidden in mission rooms. Each planet, moon, or location has 2-3 fragments, requiring 3-7 scans. They reveal lore about the Origin System's factions, characters, and planets, and decrypting them reveals 'Ordis' Past'. They appear on the mini-map as a blue quadruple diamond if loot radar mods are active. They do not spawn in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.

Other Fragment Types: The guide details various other fragment types including Thousand-Year Fish, Glass Shards, Encrypted Journals, Nakak Memories, Fortuna Fragments, Partnership Fragments, The Tenets, Duviri Fragments, Albrecht's Notes, Isleweaver Fragments, Somachord Fragments, and Frame Fighter Fragments. Each type has specific locations or methods of acquisition.
