Fragments are pieces of hidden items found throughout the Origin System.

Scanning most Fragments with a Codex or Synthesis Scanner unlocks artwork and lore in the Codex's Universe tab.

A hidden point on each unlocked image, when hovered over with the cursor, reveals a short audio transmission with additional lore. An audio clue (white noise) helps locate this point.

Other Fragment types require direct interaction (default X key).

Fragments are categorized by their release date and type, including Cephalon, Thousand-Year Fish, Glass Shard, Encrypted Journal, Nakak Memory, Fortuna, Partnership, The Tenets, Lost Islands of Duviri, Albrecht's Notes, Isleweaver, Somachord, and Frame Fighter Fragments.

Cephalon Fragments are data blocks found in missions, requiring 3-7 scans. They appear as a blue quadruple diamond on the mini-map with loot radar mods. They do not spawn in Defense, Interception, or Archwing missions.
