Learn how to get and build Link's house in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This guide covers starting the Home on Arrange quest and customizing your new home.

So, you want to give Link a place to hang his hat in Tears of the Kingdom? Just like in Breath of the Wild, you can build Link a house, but this time you're much more involved in the process! If you're not sure where to start, don't worry, I'll walk you through getting your very own place.

To kick things off, you'll need to head to Tarry Town. Before you can start building your own home, you'll have to complete a side adventure called Mattison's Independence. It's a bit of a longer one, but it shouldn't take more than an hour or two. Once that's all wrapped up, make your way back to the construction shop and chat with Rhondson. She'll get the ball rolling by offering you a plot of land and a starter home for 1,500 Rupees. Hand over the cash, and she'll send you off to Link's new property to get started.

Once you're at the building site, which is conveniently located just above Tarry Town (there's even a Shrine nearby for a quick fast travel!), you'll want to find Grantéson at the counter. He's the guy who will help you start building. You'll begin with two basic rooms: an entryway and a bedroom where Link can catch some Zs. You'll use the Ultrahand ability to move these rooms around. Your job is to fuse them together at the designated fencing. After you've got them connected, talk to Grantéson again to let him know you're finished. Just a heads-up: make sure no part of the rooms is sticking out beyond the ropes, or he won't approve your setup!

Once you've got your basic house sorted, you'll be able to explore it. As a reward for your efforts, Rhondson will swing by and give you the Construction Fabric. This handy item lets you customize the look of your glider back in Hateno Village. The quest officially concludes here, but the cool part is you can always return to Grantéson to buy more rooms, rearrange your house, or even move its location entirely.
