Guidance from Ages Past

Follow our step-by-step guide to complete The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's 'Guidance from Ages Past' quest, find the Construct Factory, and meet Mineru.

Alright, so you've paid your ten hearts to open that door on Dragonhead Island. Inside, you'll find a Zonai mask. Go ahead and interact with it – it'll shoot out a light. Your job now is to follow that light; it's going to lead you to the Construct Factory and officially kick off the 'Guidance From Ages Past' quest. Make sure you keep that mask with you!

Grab the mask and head to the back of the room where you can find an exit. To your right, you'll see a bunch of Wings, some Fans, and a Steering Stick. Snag those parts and get them attached to the Wings. For an easier time, I recommend attaching the mask right to the front of whatever you build. Then, just place your Wing contraption on the track, hop on, and interact with the Steering Stick to get moving.

You'll be flying straight north from Dragonhead Island. Keep an eye out, because eventually, you'll spot a big stone owl. When you see it, land your Wings nearby and grab the mask again. Your next step is to place this mask on the pedestal right in front of the owl. Once that's done, a door will open. Head inside, place the mask on the pedestal there, and an elevator will activate. This elevator will take you down into the Faron Depths, dropping you off right in front of the Construct Factory. This is where you'll start getting to know Mineru, the fifth sage, a bit better.
