Complete the Moon-Gazing Gorons side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! Find the perfect spot in Lake Ferona Cave and capture a photo to help the Gorons.

Alright, so you're looking to help out some Gorons who are feeling a bit nostalgic? This quest, 'Moon-Gazing Gorons,' is a pretty straightforward one, but it requires you to have finished up the Fire Temple first. Once that's done, head back to Goron City. You'll find two Gorons, Tray and Volcon, hanging out near the Inn. They're on a mission to find a special spot from their past, and it turns out that spot is somewhere in Lake Ferona.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, make your way to the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower. From there, you'll want to head towards the southernmost part of Lake Ferona. It's a bit of a trek, but you're looking for a cave entrance right in front of a big rock at the lake's southern edge. That's the Lake Ferona Cave.
  2. 2
Once you're inside the cave, set up a campfire. You'll need to wait until it's exactly noon. This is crucial for the next step!
  3. 3
After you've waited it out, you should see a beam of light shining down into the cave. Now, whip out your Camera and snap a picture of that light. If you've got the right angle and timing, you'll see some text pop up on screen confirming the picture registered. If nothing happens, try taking the photo again.
  4. 4
With your photo in hand, head back to Goron City and find Tray and Volcon again. Link will automatically show them the picture you took.

For your efforts in helping Tray and Volcon find their memory, they'll reward you with a Silver Rupee, completing the quest!

Tips
  • Make sure you've completed the Fire Temple before trying to start this quest.
  • The Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower is your best bet for getting to Lake Ferona quickly.
  • Patience is key when waiting for noon inside the cave – don't rush the campfire!
  • If the photo doesn't register, double-check that you're aiming the camera directly at the light beam.
