How to Get Midna's Helmet in Tears of the Kingdom

Learn how to find and obtain Midna's Helmet in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This guide covers reaching Eventide Island, navigating the Depths, and defeating the Lone Island Coliseum.

Midna’s Helmet offers resistance to Gloom. You will find this helmet in the Depths, underneath Eventide Island. To reach Eventide Island, head to the southeast corner of the map. Use the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower to unveil it. From Cape Cresia on the mainland, build a boat using a plank, two Fans, and a Steering Stick. Sail from Cape Cresia towards Eventide Island.

Once on Eventide Island, go to the northern side to find the Eventide Island Chasm, which leads to the Depths. Jump into the chasm and use Brightbloom Seeds to light the way. South of your starting position in the Depths is the Lone Island Coliseum. Head around it on the eastern side and continue south to find the Ni-Iraram Lightroot. Light the Lightroot to reveal the area on your map.

To enter the Lone Island Coliseum, go to its northern entrance. The enemies inside are Gloom-afflicted Bokoblins, meaning their attacks will seal off your hearts, making them unrecoverable without Sundelion-based food. Approaching the chest in the middle of the coliseum triggers a battle.

1. Wave 1: Fight three regular Bokoblins. Two are melee, one is an archer. Prioritize the archer, then deal with the melee enemies.
2. Wave 2: Battle three Blue Bokoblins, all equipped with melee weapons. Focus on defeating them one by one.
3. Wave 3: Face two Black Bokoblins. Use shock damage on arrows to make them drop their weapons, making them less dangerous and opening opportunities for Flurry Rushes.
4. Wave 4: Combat one Silver Bokoblin. Use shock damage to make it drop its weapon, or use frost damage on arrows to freeze it for free hits.
5. Wave 5: Fight one of each Bokoblin type: an archer and two melee variants. Defeat the archer first. Bomb Flowers are effective here, as are shock or frost tactics.

After defeating all waves, the chest in the center of the coliseum will open, containing Midna’s Helmet.
