How to Complete A Bottled Cry for Help in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Find the Bottle: Head to Hateno Bay, located south of the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower in East Necluda. Look for a shipwreck southwest of the bay (east of the visible path on the map). The bottle containing the quest message is near the shipwreck.

Locate Mapla Point Cave: After reading the message, follow the trail of Brightbloom Seeds and wreckage. The cave is located by heading east to the end of the landmass and then slightly north.

Build a Boat: At the beach where you found the bottle, use wooden boards and a Steering Stick to construct a boat. Attach a Fan with a Battery on top for power. Ensure the weight is balanced before launching it into the water. Consider using Zonai Charges to upgrade your Zonai Energy Cell if needed, to avoid mid-voyage recharges and potential enemy encounters.

Navigate to the Cave: Plot a course due east, avoiding sea enemies like Lizalfos and Octoroks. Once you reach the eastern end of the landmass, head north. Keep an eye on the western cliffside for the cave entrance, which is Mapla Point Cave.

Explore and Rescue Chumin: Park your boat at the cave entrance. Explore the cave, which contains numerous Ore Nodes and useful materials like Hearty Truffles. To the west, you'll find a passage blocked by a boulder. Use Ultrahand to move the boulder and proceed to the back of the cave.

Complete the Quest: Speak with Chumin, the writer of the bottled message, who is trapped in the cave. He will reward you with a Diamond Rupee (100) for your help, completing the Side Quest.

Find Additional Loot: Before leaving Mapla Point Cave, use Ascend in the first area to find another Ore Node. Also, locate and defeat the Bubbulfrog in this area to obtain a Bubbul Gem.
