Learn how to complete Uma's Garden side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Find Uma, plant crops, and harvest for quest completion.
Walkthrough
- 1First, complete the quests "Teach Me a Lesson I" and "Teach Me a Lesson II" given by Symin at the Hateno Village school.
- 2After completing these quests, Symin will allow you to use the school field.
- 3Locate Uma in the Hateno Village school field; she will have a quest icon above her head.
- 4Speak with Uma to initiate the "Uma's Garden" quest.
- 5She will instruct you to plant crops in the field. Choose one crop type from your inventory to start planting.
- 6The available crops you can plant are: Hylian Rice, Fortified Pumpkins, Hylian Tomatoes, Swift Carrots, Endura Carrots, Tabantha Wheat, Wildberry, Hydromelon, and Hearty Radishes.
- 7You can only plant one type of crop at a time, but you can switch crop types whenever you wish.
- 8Ensure you have at least one of the chosen crop in your inventory to plant it.
- 9Crops grow in real-time, taking approximately 48 minutes (or two in-game days) to mature. You cannot speed up growth by sleeping.
- 10Periodically check the field to harvest your crops and plant new ones.
- 11You can speak to Uma at any time to check on the progress of your crops or to change the crop type being planted.
- 12After your first successful harvest, the "Uma's Garden" quest will be completed.
Tips
- Uma and the school field are located on a lower cliff directly in front of the Hateno Village school, near the Hateno Village West Well.
- Uma is available in the field around the clock once crop growing is unlocked.
- To make the most of the school field, visit regularly to harvest and replant.
There is no specific reward for completing Uma's Garden, but you will unlock the ability to grow crops in the school field.
