Learn how to solve the Ren-iz Shrine, also known as 'Jump the Gaps,' in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Get the Strong Zonaite Shield and Light of Blessing.

Hey there! Ready to tackle another shrine? This one's called Ren-iz Shrine, and its subtitle is "Jump the Gaps." Don't let that scare you; it's more about using Ultrahand to get a ball into a goal than actual tricky platforming. We'll get you through it, and snag that optional treasure too!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, head downstairs. You'll see a crystal right in front of you. To its left is a ramp and a chute, and to your right, there's a pit, a wall that looks a bit off-kilter, and what looks like a goal. Remember how crystals work in some other shrines? Hit this one with a weapon, and it'll glow green, which in this case, makes a big ball appear.
  2. 2
Your first task is to get that ball into the goal. Grab the rectangular platform on the ground near the crystal using Ultrahand. Position it diagonally over the pit, facing the ramp. Once it's in place, hit the crystal. If you've lined everything up right, the ball should come out of the chute, roll down the ramp, hit your platform, and launch straight into the goal. Once the ball settles in, the door to the next part of the shrine will open. Just try not to stand in the ball's path while it's rolling!
  3. 3
Now for the second puzzle. It's pretty similar, with a chute, ramp, ball, and goal. This time, you've got two platforms: a large rectangular one and a smaller square one. You won't have that angled wall to help brace your ramp, though. The trick here is to attach the small square platform to the edge of the large rectangular one, forming an 'L' shape.
  4. 4
Place this 'L'-shaped platform opposite the ramp. Hit the crystal again, and the ball should sail across the gap and into the goal, opening the next door.
  5. 5
Before you head out, let's grab that treasure chest! You've already built the perfect tool for it. Take your L-shaped platform over to the end of the chamber opposite the exit. You'll see an island just off the main path, on the same side as the goal.
  6. 6
Position your makeshift ramp so you can run up it, then leap off and glide over to that island. There's a ramp you can ascend there, and inside a chest, you'll find a Strong Zonaite Shield. Pretty sweet!
  7. 7
With the shield in hand, glide back to the main walkway. You can now exit the shrine and grab your well-deserved Light of Blessing.
Tips
  • Don't worry too much about the "Jump the Gaps" subtitle; this shrine is all about using Ultrahand to guide a ball.
  • Make sure your platforms are positioned correctly to ensure the ball goes into the goal. A little adjustment goes a long way!
  • The optional chest is definitely worth the effort for the Strong Zonaite Shield.
