How to Beat Master Kohga at Abandoned Hebra Mine

Alright, so you've made it to the Abandoned Hebra Mine and it's time for the final showdown with Master Kohga. Don't sweat it, this fight is actually pretty manageable once you know what to expect. He's piloting a mech this time, but thankfully, he's pretty exposed, making him an easy target for your arrows. The arena is fenced off and electrified, so watch your step, but his main attack in the first phase is just a big ol' punch from one of his mech's arms. Just sidestep it and you'll be fine.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Mech Punches

   Kohga will primarily attack by trying to punch you with one of his mech's arms. This is fairly telegraphed, so just move out of the way. He'll also put up a guard if you try to snipe him, so you'll just have to wait for him to lower it. The best strategy here is to bait out a melee attack, dodge it, and then immediately fire an arrow while he's recovering.

2. Phase 2: Lasers and Bombs

   Once Kohga hits about half health, he'll start using more dangerous attacks. First, he'll fire two lasers from his arms that move inward, trying to close the gap. The easiest way to avoid this is to run directly towards Kohga and slide underneath one of his arms. Second, he'll conjure three bombs above his body and drop them towards you one by one. This is where Recall becomes your best friend. You can use it on any of the bombs, and when they hit Kohga, they'll stun him and knock him out of the cockpit, giving you a prime opportunity to land some serious damage.

Strategy:

• Bait Kohga's melee attacks, dodge them, and counter with arrows.
• When he uses his laser attack, run straight at him and under his arms.
• Use the Recall ability on his conjured bombs to stun him and interrupt his attacks.
• Keep a close eye on your footing to avoid the electrified fence around the arena.
• Aim for Kohga's exposed body whenever possible.

• Upon defeating Master Kohga, two chests will spawn. One contains a Huge Crystallized Charge, and the other holds a Diamond.
• You'll also get a Schema Stone from one of the other Constructs and unlock the forge shop at the mine.
