Follow this guide to complete the Gerudo's Colossal Fossil side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn how to find and reassemble the baby leviathan fossil.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin the quest after finishing Hebra's Colossal Fossil. You'll need heat-resistant armor for daytime or cold-resistant armor for nighttime travel in the desert.
- 2The Gerudo Great Skeleton Cave is located directly behind the Lightning Temple. The closest shrines are Irasak Shrine and Miryotanog Shrine, though you'll need to walk a short distance through sinking sand.
- 3Enter the cave and follow the path down until you find Loone.
- 4Speak with Loone, who will direct your attention to the baby leviathan skull. Use Ultrahand to piece the skeleton back together.
- 5In the back of the cave, find a Bubbul Frog. Near the large leviathan's tail fin, a chest contains a Topaz buried under sand.
- 6Locate a pile of sand across from Loone containing the baby's tail. Use Tulin's Gust ability or a Fan to blow away the sand.
- 7Use Ultrahand to move the tail next to the skull. Do not attack it; simply drop it beside the head.
- 8Climb up the mother leviathan. The baby's torso is stuck in breakable rocks above the mother's head.
- 9Stay a safe distance back and use Bomb Flowers to hit the ceiling. Two hits should be enough to break the rocks and free the torso.
- 10If the torso doesn't fall to the ground, use Ultrahand to drop it from above the baby's head.
- 11Use Ultrahand to attach the head to the torso, and then the tail to the torso. Ensure all bones are properly aligned before fusing them.
- 12Return to Loone and speak with her to complete the quest.
Tips
- Wear appropriate armor for the desert climate (heat-resistant during the day, cold-resistant at night).
- Use Tulin's Gust or a Fan to clear sand piles quickly.
- Bomb Flowers are effective for breaking the rocks holding the torso.
