Alright, so you're looking to get that stable up and running in Lookout Landing, huh? It's a pretty straightforward little side quest, but you'll need to have made a bit of progress in the main story first.

How to Begin The Incomplete Stable

To even get this quest started, you'll need to have finished at least two of the main Temples. Most players tackle the Wind Temple and the Water Temple first because they're generally considered the easiest, plus heading to Rito Village early on unlocks some handy stuff. Once those are done, make your way back to Lookout Landing. You'll find Karson hanging out near the south gate. Chat with him, and he'll tell you about their plan to build a stable right there in Lookout Landing.

How to Repair the Roof

This part is super simple, honestly. Once Karson tells you what's up, just head around to the back of the makeshift stable. You'll spot a plank of wood lying there. Switch to your Ultrahand ability, grab that plank, and then rotate it until it slots perfectly into the gap in the roof. Boom, done!

Finishing this quick quest gets you a Mini Stable right there in Lookout Landing. While it might not have all the bells and whistles of a full-blown stable (and hey, you can rest for free there anyway!), you can still register your horses and take them out. This is a pretty big deal because it's the only stable in the Hyrule Field sub-region, meaning you won't have to trek all the way to other stables if you just want to ride around those wide-open plains.
