Learn how to tame Shulhorses, unlock Autobuild, use Brightbloom Seeds, and activate Lightroots to easily navigate the dark Depths in Zelda: TOTK.
Walkthrough
- 1Tame a Shulhorse: Find undead horses called Shulhorses in the Depths. They can be controlled like surface horses and allow you to ride over gloom, navigating faster. They also defend you from enemies.
- 2Unlock Autobuild: Speak with the Steward Construct at the Great Abandoned Cave Mine in the Depths to unlock the Autobuild ability, which helps construct vehicles and structures using blueprints.
- 3Use Brightbloom Seeds: Attach Brightbloom Seeds or Large Brightbloom Seeds to arrows with the Fuse Ability to create light sources and illuminate the dark Depths. Large seeds provide more light.
- 4Activate Lightroots: Locate and interact with Lightroot Trees (orange/yellow trees) by standing underneath them. These illuminate large areas, reveal portions of the map, and act as fast travel points. Prioritize activating these for easier navigation.
- 5Utilize Lightroot Fast Travel: Lightroots form a fast travel network, allowing instant travel between activated Lightroots to significantly cut down travel time.
- 6Gather Poe: Collect Poe currency (Regular Poe for 1, Large Poe for 5, Grand Poe for 20) found in clusters in the Depths. Spend Poe at the Bargainers Statue in Lookout Landing to purchase items like Armor with Gloom Resistance (150 Poe) and Dark Clumps.
- 7Use the Depths Interactive Map: Consult the Hyrule Depths Map for help finding Lightroot Trees and other features like Zonaite nodes, enemies, bosses, named locations, and weapons.
- 8Obtain Ghost Soldier Weapons: Defeat Ghost Soldiers found on vertical rock pedestals to obtain undamaged weapons like the Traveler's Sword, Traveler's Spear, and Traveler's Claymore, which deal more damage and have increased durability.
- 9Obtain Armor With The Glow Effect: Equip the Miners Mask for a permanent glow effect around you.
