Follow this walkthrough to complete the 'A New Champion's Tunic' side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Find Zelda's Secret Well and Hyrule Castle.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
To begin 'A New Champion's Tunic,' travel to Hateno Village in the southeastern part of the map. If you have the Zanmik Shrine, fast travel there as it's just outside the village.
  2. 2
From Hateno Village, head west to find the Hateno Village South Well. Go southwest from there, cross the bridge to find a house that belonged to Zelda.
  3. 3
Behind Zelda's house, locate Zelda's Secret Well. Go down into the well and read the diary on the desk to start the side quest.
  4. 4
The diary mentions Zelda was having a new tunic made for Link and hid it in the throne room of Hyrule Castle.
  5. 5
Travel to Lookout Landing and use the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower to launch yourself into the sky.
  6. 6
Glide north towards Hyrule Castle. You may need extra stamina or stamina-replenishing food like Stambulbs. If you have Tulin's Vow, it can help with air travel.
  7. 7
Land on the southern side of the castle and enter the main room, the Sanctum.
  8. 8
On the northern side of the Sanctum, you'll find stairs leading to the throne.
  9. 9
In front of the throne are two unlit torches. Light both of them. You can use Fire Fruit (tossed or attached to arrows) or fuse a Ruby to a weapon.
  10. 10
Lighting both torches will cause the statue behind the throne to slide aside, revealing a hidden compartment.
  11. 11
Open the chest in the compartment to obtain the Champion's Leathers.
Tips
  • Having sufficient stamina is crucial for gliding to Hyrule Castle. Consider consuming stamina-replenishing food or elixirs.
  • Tulin's Vow can assist in reaching the castle with less stamina.
  • Fire Fruit is a common and effective item for lighting torches.
  • A Ruby fused to a weapon can also be used to light the torches.
