Follow this guide to complete the main quests on Great Sky Island in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, including all four shrines and how to leave for Hyrule.
Walkthrough
- 1Reach the Temple of Time: After the intro, grab the Master Sword, exit the starting area, and defeat a Warrior Construct. Obtain the Purah Pad from a Steward Construct. Head north to the Temple of Time. Dive to a lower section and fight your way there. A Zonai ghost named Rauru will task you with visiting three shrines for the main quest, The Closed Door.
- 2Ukouh Shrine: Travel west to Ukouh Shrine. Complete this shrine, which serves as a tutorial for the Ultrahand ability.
- 3In-isa Shrine: Head southwest to In-isa Shrine. You may need to build a rail platform, a log bridge, or a raft to reach it. Complete the shrine to gain the Fuse ability, which allows you to combine items with weapons.
- 4Gutanbac Shrine: Travel to Gutanbac Shrine. This is the longest leg of the journey. You will need to navigate through caves (Pondside Cave, Mining Cave, Pit Cave, Bottomless Cave), use Zonai devices like Zonai Fans for rafts and minecarts, and cook meals for cold resistance. Complete the shrine to gain the Energy Cell and the Ascend ability.
- 5Return to the Temple of Time: Head back west from Gutanbac Shrine. Use Ascend to reach a platform to the north and obtain the Archaic Warm Greaves from a chest. Use a Zonai Wing to glide back to the Temple of Time. You will receive the Recall ability. Use Recall to manipulate gears and reach the temple's northern door.
- 6Nachoyah Shrine: Fast travel to the Room of Awakening. Use Ascend and Recall to cross gears and reach Nachoyah Shrine. Complete the shrine using the Recall ability.
- 7Leave Great Sky Island: With four Lights of Blessing, return to the Temple of Time. Use a Zonai Wing to glide back or fast travel to Ukouh Shrine and walk. Use Recall on gears to access back rooms and pray at a statue to regain a Heart Container. With four hearts, you can open the northern door. After a cutscene, use Ascend through ruins, interact with an orb of light, and jump down to Hyrule Kingdom.
