Follow our Genshin Impact Chasm Spelunkers walkthrough to find Uncle He's clues, complete Zhiqiong's commissions, and explore the depths of The Chasm.

Alright, so you've just finished up with the "Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering" quest, and the path into The Chasm's mines is finally open! It's time to head down and see what's what. Your objective marker should be pointing you towards the center of the area, right where "The Chasm's Maw" is. Just drop right into that newly opened hole, and you'll find yourself in the Underground Mine.

Once you're down there, you'll catch a little cutscene with Zhiqiong and Jinwu. They'll chat about how the Lumenspar has grown all the way down here, which is new since their last visit. After that, your next goal is to check out the Lumenspar that's conveniently located near the camp they're setting up.

Go to the designated location to investigate / Investigate the Lumenspar near the camp

Head southeast from your current spot towards a glowing blue crystal – that's the Lumenspar. Grab it, and you'll trigger another short scene. Paimon will notice it looks a lot like your Lumenstone Adjuvant. Jinwu will chime in, explaining that your Adjuvant is actually made from these Lumenspar materials, which is why they're reacting to each other. She'll then mention they need to get a temporary camp sorted and ask you to keep an eye out for anything unusual nearby.

Zhiqiong will then bring up a story about an old miner named "Uncle He" who disappeared years ago. She's convinced he's still around because he knew the mines so well. She'll ask for your help in finding any clues about where he might have gone. Your new task is to find three of these clues scattered around the area.

Look for clues as to Uncle He’s whereabouts (0/3)

While Zhiqiong and Jinwu get the camp ready, you'll need to track down these three diary fragments related to Uncle He's disappearance. Here’s where to find them:

• First, head west from the waypoint, following the wooden platform until you reach a bridge. Cross it, then go southeast. Right at the end of the bridge, turn south towards an area with some purple goo. Look for a couple of wooden crates against the wall; the diary fragment is on the one to the right.
• Next, from the waypoint, drop down to the southwest, near where that crane elevator is. You'll spot a wooden structure. The diary fragment is on the side of an ore crate sitting on a shelf there.
• Finally, on the bottom floor, southeast of the waypoint, you'll find a broken crate next to a white tent. There's a lumenlamp nearby. This diary fragment is inside that broken crate. Just a heads-up, this spot might be guarded by Treasure Hoarders initially.

Tell Jinwu about what you’ve discovered of Uncle He’s whereabouts

Once you've got all three diary fragments, head back to Jinwu. After you tell her what you've found – mentioning things like Black Magma, Lumenspar, and mushrooms – she'll suggest heading back to the main encampment.

Go to the exploration team’s camp

To get back to the camp, head down to the lower floor and make your way southeast through the cave. Follow the path to the end, then glide northeast. You'll find a broken wooden bridge with a Lumenspar on the other side. Glide across the gap, grab the Lumenspar, and keep following the path northeast. You'll eventually find a waypoint to unlock. Head north from there, and you'll trigger another scene.

It looks like Zhiqiong has wandered off! Jinwu thinks she's probably just off charting maps, but it's a good idea to go check on her anyway. After the scene, a part of your map will fill in. This is also where you can start upgrading your Lumenstone Adjuvant by collecting more Lumenspar and chatting with Jinwu. Plus, you can now recharge those Lumenlamps to light up this dark place.

Look for Zhiqiong, who went off on her own

So, where did Zhiqiong get to? Start by gliding east, making sure to grab the Lumenspar sitting on top of a wooden plank along the way. Then, drop down to the floor and continue heading east. You'll find Zhiqiong standing by a broken bridge. Go talk to her.

She'll explain that she was busy studying the terrain and drawing a map. Apparently, she found the path ahead blocked by some... strange stuff. She'll then ask you to take some pictures of it, conveniently mentioning she dropped her Kamera while heading down into the mines. This gives you two new commissions to complete before you can move on with the main quest.
