Act 1: Banquet of Parting

Go to the Grand Narukami Shrine and look for Yae Miko
Make your way to the Grand Narukami Shrine. Upon approaching Yae Miko, a scene will play where she explains that a Hyakkiyakou is a gathering of youkai. The spell you have is to calm the Ley Lines, not grant wishes. She asks you to have the Shrine Maidens leave the shrine temporarily to prevent possession by dispersing youkai memories and to deal with monster activity at the foot of Mt. Yougou.

Tell the shrine maidens to leave the shrine temporarily
Go to the Shrine Maiden, Maki, by the building to your north. Explain that Lady Guuji has ordered them to descend the mountain. Maki will agree and instruct the other Maidens to leave.

Go to the main road under Mt. Yougou
Head to the foot of Mt. Yougou. Gliding down from the shrine is the quickest method. As you approach the bottom of the stairs, a scene will occur, and it will become night. Monsters will begin to gather, and you'll decide to stop them from reaching the mountain's peak.

Stop the affected monsters from getting up the mountain
You will need to fend off four waves of enemies:

• Wave 1: 2 Rock Shieldwall Mitachurls, 3 Hilichurls. Rock Shieldwall Mitachurls are the main threat due to their shields; Claymore or Geo characters are effective.

Wave 2: 2 Hydro Slimes, 1 Anemo Samachurl, 1 Large Pyro Slime. Focus on the Anemo Samachurl to avoid its tornadoes. Cryo and Electro are effective against the slimes.

Wave 3: 2 Nobushi: Kikouban, 1 Nobushi: Hitsukeban. These enemies have interruption resistance. Kazuha can be useful to control them. They are more resistant to physical attacks, so elemental attacks are recommended. Attack them when they taunt, as they are briefly open afterward.

Wave 4: 2 Yoriki Samurai, 1 Nobushi: Jintouban, 1 Nobushi: Hitsukeban. The Yoriki Samurai have lunge, slash, and a charged multi-hit attack; dodge to the side for lunges. Their block stance, indicated by raised hands and a diagonal sword, makes them impervious to damage.

Return to the Grand Narukami Shrine / Say farewell to the youkai within the Ley Lines
After defeating all waves of monsters, return to the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Wait until the appointed time (the following day) / Go close to Uyuu Restaurant
The quest will instruct you to wait until the appointed time, which is the following day. Proceed to the Uyuu Restaurant.

Enter the Uyuu Restaurant to conclude Act 1.
