The Crux Clash

You'll start the challenge against a fighter named Jinyou. Don't let the 'Almost Perfect' nickname fool you – he's pretty basic. The catch here is you won't have access to your Elemental Skills or Bursts, and your party members are out. It's just you, your normal attacks, and charged attacks. Jinyou fights a lot like a Treasure Hoarder Scout, so just a few sword swings should be enough to take him down quickly. End this fight fast!

After you've dealt with Jinyou, head over to Beidou, who's chilling at the edge of the arena. She's happy she picked you as her favorite. She'll then ask Kazuha for his thoughts. He'll mention how impressive your fight was and that he noticed you held back from causing too much harm. His grand finale of wisdom? "You fought well." Beidou, seeing your skills firsthand, decides to fast-track you straight to the semi-finals.

If you need to heal up, do it now. Then, head back to Zhuhan to kick off the semi-finals!

Your next opponent is Rongshi. He's got moves pretty similar to the Treasure Hunter Pugilists. This fight is a bit more challenging than Jinyou, but still nothing too crazy. Start with some 2-3 hit combos, and when he starts to lean forward, that's your cue to dodge his strongest attacks. Keep this up, heal if your health drops low, and throw in a few charged attacks to speed things up. After the fight, you'll get a scene with Rongshi where you'll learn a bit about him and why he's in the tournament.

Once that scene wraps up, head to the eastern edge of the arena and find Uncle Yun. He'll tell you that your final opponent is incredibly nimble and that he himself was defeated by them.

Now, head southwest within the arena and talk to Liang. Paimon will ask about his companion, and Liang will explain that Chai Yi was trying to perfect a technique you might have heard about earlier. Unfortunately, Chai Yi took a fist to the nose and got knocked out cold. Because Liang had to deal with Chai Yi, he missed his own fight and got disqualified.

Make your way back to Beidou and Kazuha. Talk to them about the other finalist. Kazuha will compliment your last fight, and Beidou will mention that your opponent's strengths are speed, perfect form, and a lot of battle experience. Kazuha will then pull you aside, saying he needs to talk privately.

Teleport to the Domain of Guyun and head northwest. Kazuha will be waiting for you on the beach.

Speak with Kazuha. He'll start asking you some questions about how you can manipulate multiple elements without a Vision. After a few more questions, he'll want to test your skills, and in return, he'll share some important information with you.

For this test, you'll face two waves of enemies. The first wave has two Pyro Slimes and one Large Pyro Slime. You can use your full party here, so bring out your Cryo or Hydro characters to take them down. The second wave is more mixed: one Mutant Electro Slime, one Large Electro Slime, one Large Cryo Slime, and one Large Hydro Slime. Switch between party members to exploit their elemental weaknesses.

Once you've cleared both waves, head back to Kazuha and talk to him.

Kazuha will be impressed by your demonstration. As promised, he'll share some crucial information about the Shogun God and Inazuma. After the scene, agree to go back with him, and you'll find yourself back at the arena, concluding the quest.
