Wind-riding Knight

You'll start by continuing your journey towards Mondstadt. Take your time, maybe grab some flowers or other items you see near the river surrounding the city. As you get closer to the next waypoint, a cutscene will introduce you to Amber, your first new party member.

A tutorial will pop up explaining how to switch party members. Make sure to do this now! Select Amber. You'll then be prompted to shoot down some airborne slimes using her bow. Remember, Amber is a Pyro-elemental ranged character. This means she's great for destroying wooden objects, hitting enemies from afar, and offers a completely different playstyle compared to the Traveler.

To defeat the slimes, aim your bow at one and shoot. Pro-tip: If you hold down the attack button longer, Amber will charge up a stronger shot. Use this to take them down efficiently! After you defeat them, a chest will appear with rewards. Make sure to collect them – you should get a new sword for your Traveler, so remember to equip it in the Character Information screen.

Once the slimes are dealt with, run to the new marker that appears on your map. This will complete the quest and grant you your reward.
