Defeat the Anemo Hypostasis in genshin impact. Learn its attacks, strategy, and rewards including Ascension Materials and Artifacts.
Walkthrough
- 1The Anemo Hypostasis is a large cube that protects its glowing core with an impenetrable shell. You can only damage it when the core is exposed.
- 2Anemo Clap: The boss flies towards you, forms a wall, then a pair of hands that clap. Dodge sideways as the hands are about to connect.
- 3Crystalfly Blast: It flies into the air, transforms into a Crystalfly, and fires two large AoE Anemo blasts. Dodge towards the Crystalfly as it shoots.
- 4Anemo Missile: It hovers and launches missiles from its shell. Pick a direction and keep walking to avoid them; dodging is not necessary and saves stamina.
- 5Anemo Meteors: It launches three concentrated blasts that explode on impact, leaving behind updrafts. Move to avoid them and try to have them land near the center to use the updrafts.
- 6Shockwave Pulse: The Hypostasis teleports next to you, creates a spinning dome, and emits arena-wide shockwaves for major damage. Jump over the pulses just as they hit, stay at the edge of the arena, or use updrafts if available. A shield can also negate the damage.
- 7Anemo Tornadoes: The boss flies high in the center and conjures tornadoes. Run to the edge of the arena and wait for the attack to end.
- 8Vacuum: It manifests shell pieces around itself, then sends them outwards, creating a vacuum that pulls you towards its core. Repeatedly dodge away from the core as soon as the vacuum forms to avoid a large AoE explosion.
- 9Second Wind: When nearly defeated, the boss creates four Anemo Orbs surrounded by updrafts in the arena center. You have about 15-20 seconds to collect these Orbs using the updrafts. Failing to collect them results in the boss recovering 10%-15% health per uncollected Orb.
Strategy:
- Bring party members with high burst damage (e.g., Diluc, Klee, Razor, Keqing) for when the core is exposed. Characters like Noelle or Zhongli can provide shields for defense.
- Pay attention to the boss's location to predict its next attack: teleporting to you means Shockwave Pulse, out of range means Anemo Missile or Anemo Meteors, teleporting to the center means Anemo Tornadoes, and flying means Anemo Clap, Crystalfly Blast, or Vacuum.
- When the core is exposed, you have approximately 3-5 seconds to deal maximum damage before it becomes invulnerable again.
- During the 'Second Wind' phase, collect the Anemo Orbs to prevent the boss from healing.
