ANCIENT RUINS [0307]

Alright, so you've made some serious progress! You've allied with the army at the Ancient Ruins, which is awesome. This means you've got enough power to head into the Gorge. But before we dive into that big battle, we've got one more crucial item to grab: the Battle Horn.

If you've been collecting Mead, now's a good time to head back to Brighthelm and trade it in for Gold. Also, make sure you've picked up Health Advance Stage 1 if you haven't already – it's a lifesaver. Once you're all set, use the Leystone to warp to Hilltop Farm. From there, just head forward, and you'll enter a place called Slaterdale.

SLATERDALE

As soon as you enter Slaterdale, keep moving forward, to the right of the Hilltop Farm Leystone. You'll spot a massive warrior heading your way – get ready, this guy is a Champion, and he hits hard with that huge blade. Before you even think about fighting him, take down all the smaller Legion enemies first. They're much easier to deal with and will only get in your way.

Once it's just you and the Champion, focus on dodging his sword attacks. He's got a few, but the most important one to watch out for is when he slams his sword down in front of him. If you successfully dodge this, his sword will get stuck in the ground for a moment. This is your golden opportunity! When you see the symbol appear over his head, press [B] to tackle him. Then, just mash [A] to stab him repeatedly until he's down for the count.

Defeating the Champion is a big win! You'll get the Battle Horn, a Skirmish Key, and a Dragon Rune. With these, you're cleared to enter the Gorge. But first, let's head back to Brighthelm one last time. Sell any extra Mead you're carrying and top off your health. When you're absolutely ready, select the Gorge on your map and press [A] to enter.

GORGE [0308]

Alright, so you've made it to the Gorge in Asgard's Wrath 2. It's a pretty chaotic place, with armies clashing and swords flying everywhere. While the sheer scale of the battles can be super fun, sometimes the game might chug a bit when things get really intense. It's tempting to hang back and just watch the mayhem, but trust me, you'll have way more fun getting right into the thick of it!

Walkthrough

Once you've dealt with the initial wave of enemies, head uphill to your right. Your first task here is to free two groups of Vikings. After that, jump into the main fray in the center of the area and start chopping away. This battle is epic, but it's just a warm-up for what's coming later in the game.

After you've secured Slaterdale, take some time to explore the rest of the area. Keep an eye out for any hidden Gold and chests. Now, follow the winding path up the hill, past a locked door, to reach the very top of the Gorge. Take out the few enemies you find up there and free the group of three Vikings.

Head back down to the camp and find Arnulf, who's hanging out near that locked door. He'll tell you his crew is too scared to go through the cave, so he needs you to handle it. Looks like it's up to you to clear the path. Head into the cave and take down the two soldiers inside. The one near the exit will try to make a run for it, so follow him down a steep slope.

You'll find yourself facing the Legions. Defeat them, then cross the bridge ahead. Be careful to eliminate the Legion archers on the other side – they can be a real pain. Watch your step on the bridge; falling off into the river below means a long swim back, but hey, you can always try to knock the undead soldiers into the water!

Continue up the ramp and you'll need to make a jump across a broken section of the bridge to reach the other side. Once across, hop up the steps and deal with the Legion soldier who's… well, let's just say he's enjoying a rather gruesome meal. Keep moving forward, and you'll eventually reach the Clifftop Path Leystone.

We don't need to use the Leystone right now, so ignore it and start heading across the next bridge. You'll meet some swordsmen in the middle. Your best bet is to try and knock them off the bridge. Keep pushing forward across the bridge, but be ready for a shielded soldier waiting on the other side.

After dealing with him, take out the enemies up ahead and then jump across another gap. This will lead you into a cave situated at the top of the cliff.

Tips

Don't get too caught up in the massive battles; focus on your objectives like freeing Vikings and grabbing loot.
Use the environment to your advantage, especially on bridges. Knocking enemies off can save you a lot of fighting.
Keep an eye on your surroundings for hidden Gold and chests after liberating areas like Slaterdale.
If you fall off a cliff, don't panic. You'll usually respawn nearby, but it can cost you time.

CAVE [0309]

Walkthrough

Enter the cave past the dead bodies of around four Legions and two shielded Legions, who remind you that blocking is a good thing.

Move forward, finding plenty of Gold along the way.

Kill the hungry Legion as the other one runs away.

Walk around the perimeter of the central area and kill the undead soldier as he plans a surprise attack.

When you reach the end, drop down the stone steps and let the water take you to the bottom of the cave.

As you approach the campfire, a weird cutscene (a non-interactive scene that advances the story) will take place.

Continue forward to find an Assassin, who is short but quick.

Block and slice the Assassin apart.

Exit the cave.

Tips

Remember that blocking is a good thing, as advised by the Legions.
Be aware of surprise attacks from the undead soldier.
The Assassin is quick, so be prepared to block and attack swiftly.

ENCAMPMENT [0310]

Walkthrough

The game instructs you to avoid horn-blowers. These enemies act as sentries and will alert other Legions if they sound their horn. Stealth is required to deal with them effectively and avoid trouble.

Hide behind the boulder located next to a horn-blower.

Execute a quick slash for a one-hit kill on the horn-blower.

A guard is positioned to the right, guarding a prison cell.

Wait for the guard to walk away from the prison cell.
