Head to Huanguang Stone Forest: After finishing 'Currents Deep Beneath the Lanterns,' make your way to the Mt. Aozang Fast Travel point. From there, glide down to the bridge below. You'll find Sun Yu waiting there. Chat with him to get things started.

Give Sun Yu Qingxin Flowers: Sun Yu will ask for some Qingxin flowers. Make sure you have at least one in your inventory – if not, you can usually find them growing on high peaks around Liyue. Hand them over to him.

Go to the Old Guhua Clan Spot: Once you've given Sun Yu the flowers, you'll need to travel to the old Guhua Clan location. The closest fast travel point is south of Mt. Tianheng. Glide down from there until you find Zhiruo.

Talk to Zhiruo and Release the Lantern: Speak with Zhiruo. She'll have a conversation with you, and then you'll need to follow her. Keep talking to her (about three times) until the lantern release sequence begins. After that, head back and speak with Sun Yu one last time to officially complete the quest.
