An Impromptu Change of Plan

Meet the adepti in Jueyun Karst. Jueyun Karst is located in the northwest of the Liyue region. Teleport to the Wangshu Inn, head south to a crossroads, then west to Qingyun Peak. Go to ground level near the Statue of the Seven to trigger a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically). You will speak with the Adeptus Mooncarver. Show him the Sigil of Permission. The Millelith will then arrive and accuse you of being an assassin. Mooncarver will instruct you to deal with them.

Fight with support from the adepti. You will battle approximately 20 Millelith in waves. Your Elemental Skills and Bursts will recharge very quickly due to the Adepti's support, allowing you to use your strongest abilities frequently. After defeating the Millelith, you will continue your conversation with Mooncarver, who is upset about Rex Lapis. You will receive new orders, concluding the quest and unlocking three new quests that can be completed in any order.
