In a Strange Land

Begin the 'In a Strange Land' quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla by speaking with Randvi and Nessa. Learn how to unlock Vinland and prepare for your journey.

Alright, so you want to head to Vinland? This quest, 'In a Strange Land,' kicks off when you chat with Randvi back at the longhouse in Ravensthorpe. Just pick Vinland from the alliance map. But hold up, you can't just jump in! You first need to have figured out who Gorm Kjotvesson is. To do that, you'll need to take down a few Order of the Ancients members. Here's who you're looking for:

• Kjotve the Cruel (aka The Axe) - You already got him during the 'A Cruel Destiny' mission.
• Leofgifu (aka The Scabbard) - She's chilling in Utbech's camp, just north of Grantebridge.
• Hunta, son of Hunta (aka The Baldric) - Look for him north of the church in Ledecestre.
• Sister Frideswid (aka The Leech) - You'll have dealt with her in the 'Bleeding The Leech' mission.
• Avgos Spearhand (aka The Arrow) - He was part of the 'Firing The Arrow' mission.
• Vicelin (aka The Compass) - You beat him during 'Smashing The Compass.'

Once you've cleared those targets and revealed Gorm's identity, head back to Randvi. She'll mention a woman named Nessa who knows the way to Vinland. Find Nessa down by the docks in Ravensthorpe. When you talk to her and decide you're ready to go, a cutscene will play, and bam! You'll find yourself in Vinland. Just a heads-up, when you decide to travel, all your gear and stuff gets left behind in Ravensthorpe. They want you to look like a thrall to avoid suspicion from Gorm's crew. This journey also unlocks the 'Pioneer' trophy for you, so keep an eye out for that!
