Tedmund

Learn how to defeat Tedmund in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. This guide covers his weak points, attack patterns, and strategies for breaking his defenses.

Alright, so you've made it through the second gate and now you need to find Tedmund. Don't worry, he's not too far. Just use your Odin's Sight – you know, the one that highlights important stuff – and you'll see his location marked inside the keep. You'll need to climb the walls on the north side until you reach the very top of the keep. Tedmund will be waiting for you up there.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Points: Left arm, right arm, left knee. Hitting these will stagger him and deal extra damage.
• Weapons: Shield and Flail.

Phases:

1. Shield & Flail Combat: Tedmund will switch between using his shield and flail. When he has the shield in his main hand, he won't hit hard but can knock you back. He doesn't have any super special attacks, just basic swings and blocks.
2. Ranged Harassment: If you create too much distance between you and Tedmund for too long, he'll throw a couple of throwing knives. They don't do a ton of damage, but it's good practice to dodge them anyway.

Strategy:

• When Tedmund approaches, don't just spam light attacks. He's got a shield, so you'll need to use heavy attacks to break through his defenses first.
• As soon as his shield is down, quickly hit him with a light attack before he can get his shield stance back up.
• The main exception to the heavy attack rule is when Tedmund is in the middle of a flail swing. If you time it right, a light attack or even a shield bash will interrupt him and land a hit. It turns out that flail and shield combo isn't as great as he thought!
• If you manage to flank him right after he commits to a flail attack, you can get some easy hits in on his back. If you've got the **Backstab** skill, this can even cause a knockback.
• Keep an eye on his weak points: his left arm, right arm, and left knee. Hitting these is key to staggering him and dealing more damage.
• If he starts backing away and you see him preparing to throw knives, just dodge out of the way. It's not the end of the world if you get hit, but avoiding them is always better.
• Honestly, Tedmund is pretty predictable. You can usually avoid most of his attacks just by running around him.
• Once you've taken him down, Basim will show up, and you'll need to follow him to Cynebert.
