Walkthrough

    Make your way to Utgard in the northwest of Jotunheim. Avoid guards by keeping your cloak on.

    After the cutscene, you have permission to visit Suttungr’s daughter, Gunlodr, at the Grotto to the northeast.

    Approach the sanctum at the stone circle from the east to find an entrance. Go down the steps to find Gunlodr.

    Inside the vault, a cutscene will begin. You can choose to force Gunlodr out of the way, or romance her by presenting her with the gift (if you completed 'A Gift from the Past') or telling her you wanted to see her.

    After the scene with Gunlodr, proceed through the halls to the northwest to find the mead up some steps. Interact with it to begin a brief cutscene.

    Exit the vault, where Suttungr and Loki will be waiting.

Boss Fight: Suttungr

First Phase:

  1. Hit Suttungr’s weak points on his stomach, left leg, and the back of his right arm. Create distance to aim and shoot the stomach and leg. Flank or wait for him to turn to hit the arm.
  2. Use melee and ranged attacks, combining them based on positioning.
  3. When Suttungr summons an ice rain, stay close to one of the fires in the arena to avoid freezing.
  4. Dodge, roll, or sprint away from his chained attacks.
  5. Avoid his charge attack by dodging; getting caught at the end of a charge will throw you into rocks, causing significant damage.
  6. Keep your distance to avoid his ground stomp attack. Engage in melee but don't stay too close for too long.

Second Phase:

  1. When Suttungr reaches half health, a cutscene plays, and he takes another weapon from the ice.
  2. He will now use a shockwave of ice attack. Avoid this by dodging and rolling. He can chain two or three of these attacks.
  3. Look for the animation where Suttungr places his weapon on the ground, and it shines brightly before releasing the ice shockwave. Obstacles will not protect you from this underground shockwave.
