Walkthrough

    Immediately after The Abbot's Gambit, report to Cynebert at Folcanstan, located west of Dover Fortress. Speak with Cynebert and Basim by the docks to trigger a cutscene. Dialogue choices here do not matter.

    After the cutscene, follow Basim north to the village of Beamasfield.

    Upon arriving south of Beamasfield, use your raven to scout the village. Enter the village while cloaked and avoid guards' line of sight. Use foliage for cover and proceed to the north of the village.

    Locate Tedmund in a large building. To kidnap him stealthily, take out the surrounding guards with stealth assassinations. If stealth fails, you can kill all guards but avoid harming civilians to prevent desynchronization.

    Once the guards are dealt with, tie up Tedmund and escort him north.

    Bring Tedmund to the edge of the stone circle to the north to trigger a cutscene. You'll discover he is Shergar, Tedmund's double.

    During the cutscene, you'll have a choice: take Shergar with you or inform the Abbot he can do as he wishes. This choice has no significant impact on the story.

    Follow Shergar to the Dane Camp in the north. Listen to the dialogue between Eivor and Shergar.

    Upon reaching the camp, you'll find it has already been attacked. Approach the captain with Shergar to trigger a scene. You can choose to attack the guards immediately or negotiate. Negotiating will result in the guards leaving with Shergar.

    Regardless of the choice, free the captured Danes after the scene.

    A cutscene will play, followed by a longer one with Basim, concluding the quest.
