Complete walkthrough for the Mistress of the Iron Wood quest in Assassin's Creed Valhalla's Jotunheim. Learn how to find Angrboda's house and gather the roots from the waterfall cave system.
Walkthrough
- 1After arriving in Jotunheim and the events leading to the fight with the Builder, head northwest to find Angrboda's house.
- 2From the stone platform, face west to see through illusions and view the house.
- 3Climb the steps and enter the house. You will have dialogue options; choose as you wish.
- 4After the cutscene, find the waterfall southwest of Angrboda's house.
- 5To find the waterfall, read the inscription on the large stone altar south of the circle, then turn around to see it beneath you.
- 6Dive into the waterfall and enter the cave system.
- 7Follow the cave until you reach a large chamber. Turn north and follow the stone path westward to a passage entrance leading north.
- 8Enter this passage to find another chamber containing the first root. Use Odin's Sight if necessary.
- 9Return to the main chamber and follow the tree branches southward to another small chamber with the second root.
- 10Continue westward to a third small chamber, which requires swimming through water to reach. Find the third root here.
- 11With all three roots collected, climb the tree branches back to the main chamber.
- 12Exit through the crack in the rock to the west.
- 13Return to the Heart of the Wood and give the roots to Angrboda.
- 14A cutscene will play, followed by dialogue options. Your choices do not affect the outcome.
- 15After the cutscene, you will slide down an ice hill. Another cutscene will play, marking the end of the quest.
Tips
- Use Odin's Sight within the dark cave system to easily identify the roots.
- The dialogue options with Angrboda do not impact the quest's outcome.
