Follow this Assassin's Creed Valhalla guide to complete the A Noble Escort quest, from speaking with Hunwald to protecting him in Botolphston.
- 1Speak with Hunwald
When you approach Hunwald in Ravensthorpe, you'll overhear him talking to some locals. Stick around to catch the amusing dialogue. Then, approach Hunwald to start a cutscene. You can respond however you like during the dialogue, as your choices won't affect the outcome. After the conversation, you'll need to head to Botolphston, a village located far to the northeast in Lincolnscire.
- 2Travel to Botolphston
Upon arriving in Botolphston, find Hunwald waiting for you inside the longhouse, which is in the northern part of the village. Enter the longhouse and go to the back to speak with Hunwald, triggering another cutscene.
During this cutscene, you'll have a few dialogue choices. After the first set, two Saxons will challenge you to a fight. You have a few options here: you can fight them directly, pay them 3 Silver to back down, or if you have 3 Charisma, you can intimidate them into leaving you alone. Regardless of your choice, once the Saxons are dealt with, the cutscene will end. You'll then need to head outside (to the west) to defend Hunwald from some guards. Since you have the element of surprise, try to start the fight with an assassination.
Warning: If you don't deal with the Saxons quickly, they might attack Hunwald before you can intervene.
- 3Protect Hunwald
Once all the Saxon guards are defeated, speak with Hunwald. After a short scene, the quest will conclude.
- Pay attention to the dialogue when you first approach Hunwald; it's quite funny!
- If you have the Charisma skill, using it to de-escalate the situation with the Saxons can save you some Silver.
- Use the element of surprise when the guards attack outside to get an early advantage.
- Experience Points
- Possibly other minor rewards depending on game progression.
