Alright, so you've stumbled upon Rikiwulf, the first real boss fight in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Don't sweat it, he looks a bit intimidating with that huge axe, but he's actually pretty predictable, especially at first. Think of him as a big, slow target practice dummy for now.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weapon: Two-handed axe (slow, telegraphed), two one-handed hammers (fast, requires timing).
• Weakness: Vulnerable after heavy axe swings and after hammer combos.

Phases:

1. Phase 1 (Two-Handed Axe): Rikiwulf starts with his big axe. You'll see a red aurora glow around him just before he swings. This is your cue to dodge, but here's the trick: don't dodge too early! He's smart enough to adjust his swing if you move too soon, and that axe hits HARD. Wait until the last second, then roll away. The second he misses, rush in and wail on him with quick light attacks. Don't get greedy, though – land a few hits and be ready to dodge again. If you can, try to keep your distance and pepper him with arrows whenever you have an opening. It's safer and chips away at his health.
2. Phase 2 (One-Handed Hammers): Once you knock Rikiwulf down to about half his health, he'll ditch the big axe and pull out two hammers. This is where things speed up. His attacks will be much faster, but you'll get a warning: time will briefly slow down. Wait for him to finish his flurry of hammer strikes. As soon as he's done, it's your turn. Go in with a mix of heavy and light attacks. Keep this up, and you'll eventually bring him down.

Strategy:

• The key is patience. Don't rush in blindly, especially against the axe. Wait for the red glow, dodge late, then attack.
• When he switches to hammers, focus on surviving his combo first. Don't try to interrupt him; just wait for the end of his attack chain.
• Use the space you have. If you're struggling with melee, try to create distance and use your bow. It's a solid strategy throughout the fight.
• Don't get greedy with your attacks. It's better to land a few safe hits and be ready to defend than to overcommit and take a big chunk of damage.
