Alright, so you've tracked down Vicelin, who's also known as The Compass. He's part of the Order of Ancients, and here's a cool thing: he won't actually attack you until you get on his ship or hit him first. This means you can totally start the fight on your own terms!

Right near his ship, you'll find some springalds. There's one on the southwesternmost ship that's perfectly aimed at him. Hop on that thing ASAP and blast him with it to take a good chunk of his health right off the bat.

Just a heads-up, while Vicelin won't spot you from a distance, he *will* see you once you're on the springald. So, be quick with your shot before he can destroy it!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weak Points: Left arm, right arm, left leg. Hitting these will stun him and deal extra damage.
• Armor: Relatively weak, making him susceptible to damage.
• Healing: Does not heal himself during the fight.

Phases:

1. Opening Salvo: Mount the springald on the southwesternmost ship and attack Vicelin from range to deplete a significant portion of his health. Be quick, as he will target the springald once he spots you.
2. Close Combat: Engage Vicelin in melee combat. Watch out for his flail attacks, which can be blocked or parried.
3. Dodging Unblockables: Identify and evade his two unblockable attacks, marked by a red rune aura. These include a special flail move and a grab attack.
4. Recovering from Knockdowns: If Vicelin's attacks knock you down, dodge or roll immediately to avoid follow-up attacks, which can include flail combos or thrown rocks.
5. Exploiting Weaknesses: Focus attacks on his weak points (arms and left leg) to maximize damage and stun him.
6. Finishing the Fight: Once Vicelin is defeated, be sure to confirm the kill to trigger the Order of Ancients cutscene.

Strategy:

• When Vicelin starts his flail combos, which he uses a lot, you can usually block or parry them.
• He's got two attacks that you absolutely cannot block or parry – they're marked by a red rune aura. One is a special flail move, and the other is a grab. As soon as you see that red aura, get out of the way! Run around him, dodge, or roll.
• The Brush with Death skill is super handy here, like in most boss fights. Dodging at the last second slows down time, giving you a moment to breathe and plan your next move.
• If his flail attack knocks you down, don't just lie there! Dodge or roll right away. He'll sometimes follow up with another flail attack or even throw rocks at you from a distance. These rocks can interrupt you and will also destroy the springalds if you're trying to use them again.
• Good news: Vicelin doesn't heal himself. Plus, his armor isn't that tough, so he goes down pretty quickly regardless of your weapon.
• To make him even more vulnerable, especially to stun attacks, aim for his weak points: his left and right arms, and his left leg.
• If you're struggling, don't forget to use your high-damage melee and ranged abilities to finish him off fast.
• Once he's down, make sure you confirm the kill to get that sweet Order of Ancients cutscene.
